CRITICAL THINKING AND MEDIA, CRIME AND PUNISHMENT

  6. Critical thinking and media Nowadays there is a lot of fake info out there, so knowing English helps me to look for reliable news and better understand what's going on in the world. Learning to analyze information is key. 7. Crime and punishment, but without drama Another topic I saw was crime and punishment. Beyond the movies, it is interesting to see how justice works in other countries and how they explain it in English. 8. Closing: This is just the beginning This blog is not the end, but a part of the way. Learning English is like sowing: you have to work hard every day, but it pays off. Thanks for stopping by! 🚀 See you in the next post!

5. CHRONICLE ABOUT AURELIO IRAGORRI.

I did a chronicle in English about a Colombian political figure. I not only practiced the language, but also learned more about history and current affairs. 📌 Read it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GN3owvH46_qZqrfIYS6cy_jesnJC70-A/view?usp=drive_link

4. MY RESUME IN ENGLISH.

I had to do a resume in English and it was a challenge, but I learned a lot about how to show what you know and have studied using another language. 📌 Here you can see it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BcusEHpryNpJlLWdJ5JX8C77aDZAr3EI/view?usp=drive_link

3. WHAT ABOUT BILINGUALISM?

In one of the jobs, I created a brochure explaining how English can help a lot in the working world, especially if you are in agribusiness like me. Knowing English opens a lot of doors. 📌 Check out the brochure here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14t9bBB2YMZqnhos5xG604_jF1buqCX8D/view?usp=drive_link

2. MY MENTAL MAP OF LEARNING (PLE)

I made a mind map of how I learn and what tools I use. I realized that I not only study with books, I also learn by watching movies with subtitles, using apps like Duolingo or DeepL, and even correcting texts with the help of my teachers. 1. LEARN ENGLISH WITH WHAT I HAVE AT HAND.

I've used a little bit of everything to improve my English: YouTube videos, songs, audios, virtual classes and even talking to myself out loud 😅. All of this has helped me to loosen up and understand more of what I hear and read.

Hello! Welcome to my personal space

This blog is like a log where I share my experience learning English in a relaxed way and at my own pace. Here you will find things I have created in class such as mind maps, handouts, resumes and even a chronicle that made me do more research than usual (but it was cool!).
